Performs a variety of professional technical duties related to planning, organizing, and coordinating assigned engineering projects. Employees in this job classification may be assigned in various departments of the city including but not limited to Land Use (planning), Public Works Engineering (project engineering/traffic), and Public Utilities Engineering (water/wastewater).
Performs complex executive work performing professional, administrative, and managerial duties related to planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing all phases of Community Health and Safety operations, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the City Manager.
Provides support to assigned City of Santa department or division by performing a variety of fiscal, clerical, and routine technical duties, as needed to expedite the finance, accounting and bookkeeping functions of the organization.
Under direct supervision, performs entry level duties of routine and emergency maintenance of the city’s sanitary sewer collection system.
Performs a variety of technical accounting duties as needed to reconciliation complex utility services and accounts.
Performs a variety of duties including the collection and loading of refuse and recycling on assigned commercial or residential routes, trash and recycling cart maintenance, recycling drop-off site maintenance, and graffiti abatement.
Performs a variety of clerical duties related to fulfilling the office support needs of a department.
The Project Specialist performs a variety of general accounting or technical duties as needed to implement, monitor and update financial, technical, and/or special data on assigned projects. Depending on assignment and department/division, may serve as liaison to downtown organization in determining needs and advising on programs available or tailoring programs to fit needs of groups; or may order equipment and materials to assure completion of project and/or acquire bids necessary to conform to procurement code in order to achieve project within budget.
